Third-year veteran Jonathan Lai earned OUA male most valuable player honours as the Varsity Blues badminton team claimed the 2019 OUA championship banner this past weekend in Oshawa, Ont.

The now two-time OUA all-star went 5-1 in men’s doubles action, outscoring opponents 267-193, while also paring up with Bethany So to go a perfect 3-0 and outscoring opponents 126-58 in mixed doubles action.
