A 2007 OUA all-star, Yoko Murphy had 10 points in two games as the Varsity Blues women’s lacrosse team opened the regular season with two one-goal victories this weekend (Sept. 19-20).

The Toronto native scored five goals as the Blues edged the 2008 OUA silver medalist, Queen’s Gaels, 15-14 on Saturday, and had four goals and one assist in Toronto’s 12-11 victory over the host Western Mustangs on Sunday.

A criminology major, Murphy, is tied with Western’s Lindsay Doxtator, for the leagues lead in goals with nine.
