First-year right side hitter Alina Dormann notched 33 points and 24 digs in helping the No. 2 Varsity Blues women's volleyball team to their second straight OUA championship this past weekend at Goldring Centre.

Dormann, who was honoured as both the OUA East player and rookie of the year this past week, led all players with 20 points, tallying 19 kills and one block, while also adding 17 digs to earn player of the game honours in Toronto's 3-1 semi-final victory over McMaster on Friday night.

The life science major from Ottawa followed that up with a game-high 13 points on eight kills and five aces and also added seven digs in U of T's straight sets victory over Ryerson in the gold-medal match.
