James Turner earned his second career OUA pentathlon title in helping the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men’s track and field team to a fifth-place finish at the provincial championships this past weekend at York.

Turner set a new U of T and OUA record, finishing the five events with 4090 points, 243 points ahead of Windsor’s Jesse Drennan (3847).

Turner finished first in the 60m hurdles (8.26), long jump (6.93m), and high jump (2.00m), while placing second in the 1000m (2:43.84) and shot put (14.22m).
