Second-year runner Gabriela Stafford placed first overall in leading University of Toronto Varsity Blues women’s cross country to the team title at the 2014 Queen’s Invitational this past Saturday (Oct. 11).

The Toronto native ran the 6km race in a time of 20:19.9, 26.6 seconds ahead of second-place runner Claire Summer of Queen’s (20:46.5).

A second-year psychology student, Stafford led the Blues, who finished with a combined team score of 42 points, 28 points ahead of the McMaster Marauders (70). The host Gaels placed third with 77 points.
