Sarah Boyle successfully defended her national title this weekend and dominated the field en route to her third consecutive women’s high jump gold medal at the 2011 CIS track and field championships in Sherbrooke, Que.

The 2011 OUA champion, Boyle of Scarborough, Ont., reached a height of 1.80m to earn her fourth national title in five years. Calgary’s Rachel Machin finished second, clearing 1.77m, while Boyle’s teammate Laura Maessen earned bronze (1.71m).

Boyle was also named a first team all-Canadian for her gold-medal national performance.
