The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's rugby team fell by a final score of 91-7 versus the McMaster Marauders in Hamilton on Saturday (Sept. 12) night.

The loss drops the Blues to 0-2 to start their 2026 OUA campaign. Third-year wing Inthusha Suresh notched the lone try of the day for U of T, while first-year back row Sophie Geier successfully kicked the convert.

Toronto will look to rebound in their home opener next Saturday (Sept. 19) when they welcome the Waterloo Warriors to Varsity Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the late night showdown are available at varsityblues.ca/tickets.
