Following the conclusion of Day 1 of the 2026 OUA Figure Skating Championship, hosted by TMU inside the Mattamy Athletic Centre, the University of Toronto hold the overall lead.
With eight total podiums across eight events on Day 1, including three gold medals, the Blues hold a four-point advantage sitting in first overall at 61. Right behind are the defending OUA champion Western Mustangs with 57 points, while the McMaster Marauders rank third with 30 total points scored.
Capturing two provincial gold medals on the first day of competition, Victoria Bocknek took to the top step of the podium in defending her Gold Women Freeskate crown, and alongside her teammates Gabriella Guo, Hugo Li, and Cole Van Der Velden in the Freeskate Fours. The third gold medal for U of T on Day 1 came courtesy Anna Bazylewicz in the Star 10 Women Freeskate.
The championship will conclude following six more events on Day 2, including the team synchro to close out the competition schedule. The final day will begin at 8:30 a.m., with the entire championship streamed free via
oua.tv.
