Opening their season in London, the University of Toronto Varsity Blues figure skating team placed first overall at the Western Fall Invitational on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
The Blues impressed in the opening competition of the OUA campaign, medaling in nine out of 11 total events. This included three gold medals as U of T skaters took to the top step in the Couples Artistic, Gold Women's Freeskate and Novice Women's Short Program.Â

Training will continue for the Varsity Blues over the winter break as they next head to St. Catharines in February for the Brock Winter Invitational. Following the second showcase event, eyes will then shift to the OUA Championship scheduled to take place in Toronto at the Mattamy Athletic Centre from March 10-11.
