Earning U of T's first gold medal of the day was fourth-year kinesiology student Moses Aidoo in the men's 600m. Aidoo's time of 1:18.96 was enough for the Toronto native to earn his first career OUA gold medal in the event. The middle distance specialist wasn't going to be denied, flying out of the gate and out matching the competition to win gold. Adding another OUA gold medal to her already highly decorated resume was fifth-year London, Ont., native Julia Agostinelli. Agostinelli won the women's 1500m with a time of 4:23.71. With the win, it marks her first career OUA gold medal in this event after already earning silver and bronze medals with U of T and in her previous stint as a Guelph Gryphon. Rounding out Toronto's gold medal wins was high jump sensation Aiden Grout. The two-time national champion in the event secured his fourth career OUA gold medal, jumping for a height of 2.17m.

On the women's side, U of T began the day with a bronze medal in weight throw as second-year St. Albert, Alta., native Maakor Okai threw for a distance of 17.09m to earn her first career OUA weight throw medal. In the women's 60m, second-year sprinter Gloria Etim improved on her 2025 bronze medal finish, earning the silver medal with a time of 7.52 seconds in the 60m.

On the men's side, second-year sprinter Christopher De Martin joined Aidoo on the podium in the 600m with a time of 1:19.96 to earn the bronze medal. The win marks De Martin's first career individual medal in the OUA. In the men's 4x200m relay, U of T earned a silver medal as the team of Parker Long, Logan Duley, Caiden Schultz and Liam Lemay ran for a time of 1:28.31. Grinding out the heptathlon was second-year multi Tyler Robertson. The kinesiology student earned his first career OUA medal, taking home the bronze and scoring 4673 total points.

U of T's focus will now shift to the 2026 U SPORTS Track and Field Championships, hosted by the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg. Competition runs from Thursday, Mar. 5 through Saturday, Mar. 7.
