The University of Toronto Varsity Blues concluded competition at the 2026 U SPORTS Track and Field Championships, hosted by the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, adding another U SPORTS silver medal on Saturday (Mar. 7) afternoon.
Earning the fourth national medal of the championships for the Varsity Blues and her second medal of the week, Julia Agostinelli grabbed silver in the women's 1500m. Coming down to the final stretch, she crossed in a time of 4:22.21 to take the second step on the podium. Agostinelli also took silver in the 1000m the day prior.
In the men's 600m, OUA champion Moses Aidoo finished fifth overall at the national showcase. The Varsity Blues veteran crossed the line in 1:19.33 to improve on his previous best finish of 11
th at the U SPORTS championships.
U of T rounded out their three-days in Winnipeg with two sets of relays. In the men's 4x200m relay, the crew of Parker Long, Logan Duley, Caiden Schultz, and Liam Lemay tied a U of T program record posting a time of 1:27.62, placing sixth overall. Shifting to the men's 4x400m relay, the team of Moses Aidoo, Schultz, Christopher De Martin, and Dallas St. John crossed in 3:17.15 to claim fifth place.
In the final team standings, the U of T men finished eighth in the 24-team field, scoring 38 points. In a field of 25, the Varsity Blues women also finished eighth overall with 29 total points.
