HALLAM NAMED OUA EAST MVP, JOSEPH HONOURED AS OUA ALL-STAR

As announced by the OUA on Wednesday (Nov. 4) afternoon, University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer forward Niklas Hallam has been recognized as the OUA East Most Valuable Player while midfielder Micah Joseph was named an OUA all-star.

Hallam delivered on one of the best goal-scoring seasons in recent history for a Varsity Blue to earn both OUA East MVP and OUA first team all-star honours. The powerful forward from Victoria, B.C., led the OUA East with 12 goals across 12 games played during the regular season. This included a month long scoring streak registering a goal in seven straight matches from Sept. 6 to Oct. 4. This marks the sixth time a Varsity Blue has received MVP honours since 2002. With 10 goals in each of his two previous seasons with the Blue and White, Hallam now has 32 career goals. He was previously named OUA East Rookie of the Year, OUA East second team all-star, and a U SPORTS all-rookie in 2024.

Receiving OUA East all-star honours for a second straight season, Joseph has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the province. The sociology major from Scarborough, Ont., appeared in nine regular season matches this fall, missing out on two games to compete internationally with Saint Vincent and the Grenadines at the 2026-27 CONCACAF Nations League. Along with his defensive effort in the middle of the pitch, Joseph also moved quickly in transition helping drive the Blues offence forward. He benefited from this himself adding his second career goal this fall. Joseph was previously named an OUA East second team all-star in his first season as a Blue last year.
