The University of Toronto track and field teams found their way to the podium on the second day of competition in Windsor, Ont., earning two medals on Friday (Mar. 7) night.
Aiden Grout led the way for the Blues, earning the team's first gold medal of the weekend with a mark of 2.12m in the men's high jump, followed by Alec Brent's silver medal in the same event as he recorded a 2.09m height.
The final day of national championship competition continues tomorrow on the field with women's triple jump starting at 12:30 p.m. and track action at 1:15 p.m. with the women's 600m final. All events will be streamed live on

WOMEN'S RESULTS:
On the track, Julia Agostinelli set the tone for the Blues with a fourth-place finish in the 1000m, crossing the finish line with a time of 2:48.38. The fourth-year distance runner narrowly missed out on a podium spot by 0.17 seconds and first place by less than a second. Fourth-year pole vaulter and sprinter Quinn Miller placed 11
th in the 60m hurdles, finishing with a time of 8.60s.
In the field events, Voke Ewhrudjakpor earned her second-best U SPORTS national championship finish of her career, placing 10
th with a best distance of 11.81m in the shot put.
MEN'S RESULTS:
Aiden Grout and Alec Brent won the Blues their first two medals of the weekend by claiming the top two spots in men's high jump. Grout took home gold, the second of his career and fourth total U SPORTS medal, by being the only jumper to clear a height of 2.12m. First-year jumper Alec Brent followed up with an incredible performance in his first ever U SPORTS appearance, earning a silver medal by placing second with a height of 2.09m. Mason McGregor finished not far behind in seventh place with a mark of 2.03m.
In the long jump, Ryan Denman finished in seventh place with a best jump of 7.17m, and Eric Che's mark of 7.07m placed him ninth.
On the track, Felimon Henok proved to be the fifth-best 300m runner in the country with a time of 34.54 seconds, while Toronto men's 4x800m relay team of Brandon Cidade, Sam Myers, Shan Dhanoa, and Nick Trieu placed eighth in the nation with a time of 7:43.62.
