The University of Toronto track and field team began competition at the 2025 U SPORTS Track and Field Championships on Thursday (Mar. 6) night in Windsor, Ont.
The No. 7 nationally ranked Blues men have yet to compete in a finals event, thus registering no points, while the No. 9 nationally ranked women earned 12.5 points, placing them 4th among all teams.
Competition resumes tomorrow (Mar. 7) afternoon at 3 p.m. with the men's weight throw, while track action starts up at 4:30 p.m. with women's 60m hurdles prelims. The remainder of this week's national championship action will be streamed live on

WOMEN'S RESULTS:
Throwers Lily Spoozak and Maakor Okai opened Thursday's action with two strong performances in the women's weight throw. Spoozak earned a fifth-place finish with a best throw of 17.52m, while first-year thrower Maakor Okai's mark of 16.94m placed her seventh in the country in her first career U SPORTS competition.
Fifth-year pole vaulter Alexzandra Throndson finished fourth in women's pole vault with a 3.90m mark, while Quinn Miller also grabbed a Top 10 result close behind with a height of 3.80m, placing her seventh.
On the track, first-year sprinter Gloria Etim had a standout showing in her first U SPORTS Championships appearance, placing tenth in the women's 60m dash with a time of 7.60 seconds, just 0.13 seconds behind the final preliminary qualifier and 0.23 seconds out of the top qualifying time.
The Blues combo of Etim, Alexandra Tenn, Megan Torrance, and Michaela Wilson also placed tenth in the 4x200m relay with a time of 1:42.91.
MEN'S RESULTS:
Second-year sprinter Logan Duley recorded an impressive 6.79 second time in prelims of the 60m, but narrowly missed the cut for finals by 0.03 seconds, and finished 0.12 seconds away from the top qualifying time. Duley finished eighth overall.
The 4x200m relay team of Parker Long, Brandon Tang, Caiden Schultz, and Logan Duley earned a time of 1:31.37, placing 11
th.
