TOP FOUR FINISH FOR MEN'S SQUASH AT 2025 OUA SQUASH CHAMPIONSHIPS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's squash team finished Top 4 at the 2025 OUA Squash Championships, hosted by Brock University at White Oaks Resort this weekend.

After securing a spot in the Final Four following round-robin matches, the Blues found themselves relegated to the bronze medal match after a hard-fought semifinal defeat at the hands of the Waterloo Warriors.

However, the competition ratched up as it set-up a rematch of the Blues opening match versus the Queen's Gaels, this time with an OUA medal on the line. That opening day contest came down to a final showdown between No. 1's, with Blues veteran Will Harris getting the better of his Gaels counterpart in a 64-minute five-set epic.

Shifting to the Sunday morning rematch, Toronto started strong getting a quick 3-0 victory from Usman Khan in the No. 3 slot. Unfortunately, U of T were unable to earn another match win in the best-of-seven series, conceding a 5-1 final team score to place fourth overall at the provincial showcase.

U of T's top two players in Harris and Shamil Khan received honours. The Blues veteran Harris once again garnered OUA all-star selection, while the first-year Blue Shamil Khan received OUA rookie of the year recognition.
