MEN'S SQUASH COMPLETES JESTER'S CROSSOVER NO. 1

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's squash team competed in three matches across two days at Mayfair Lakeshore this weekend in Toronto as part of the Jester's Crossover No. 1 series.

The Blues opened the weekend with a 6-1 victory versus the Guelph Gryphons on Saturday (Nov. 1). Five of the six wins for Toronto came in 3-0 match scores, headlined by Blues No. 1 Shamil Khan's 11-5, 11-5, 11-4 victory over the Gryphons top athlete.

Scores for U of T's second match of the day versus the Queen's Gaels are still to be reported.

Shifting to Sunday (Nov. 2), Toronto battled to a narrow 4-3 win over the Waterloo Warriors. Ahmed Abdelkader earned a 3-0 victory for U of T in the No. 2 slot, while Tegbir Singh Chandhok earned a 3-1 decision in the No. 5 position. With three wins for the Warriors in the No. 4, 5 and 6 positions, it came down for Toronto to Khan and Anthony Allum.
