The University of Toronto Varsity Blues badminton team will look to defend their title as the travel to York University to compete in the 2025 OUA Badminton Championship inside the Tait MacKenzie Centre from Feb. 7-9.

Last season the Blues captured their 10^th provincial title since the merger of the men's and women's banner into a joint title in 1996. A dominant team in recent years, U of T have claimed seven of their 10 championships since 2016.

A roster filled with incredible talent, the Blues will be led by a strong contingent of returners on the women's side, including 2024 OUA all-star Jacqueline Cheung and 2024 OUA rookie of the year Jackie Dent.

Meanwhile on the men's side of the draw, Toronto will lean on a refreshed roster featuring second-year standouts Harold Tan and Sam Sui.

The Blues title defence will begin Friday (Feb. 7) with pool play throughout the entirety of the day. Playoff rounds will next occur late on Saturday (Feb. 8) before placement and medal matches conclude the championship on Sunday (Feb. 9).
