As announced on Wednesday (Nov. 5) night, University of Toronto Varsity Blues defender Hannah Chown has been named a U SPORTS first team all-Canadian.

The honour comes ahead of the start of the 2025 U SPORTS Women's Soccer Championship hosted by the McMaster University in Hamilton from Nov. 6-9.

Chown, a fifth-year teaching major from Mississauga, earned all-Canadian honours for the first time in his career. Spearheading an impenetrable defensive unit for the Varsity Blues this season, she helped U of T secure seven clean sheets in their nine regular season victories this fall. Additionally, she scored one goal and tallied two assists across 11 games played during the regular season. She now has 19 career markers and four career assists through 55 total regular season appearances in the Blue and White.

Prior to Wednesday night, Chown also received the OUA East MVP, OUA East Community Service Award, and for the fifth time in her career was named an OUA all-star.
