Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues field hockey team continued their winning ways with a 3-0 victory over the Western Mustangs on Sunday, September 29 in London, Ont.
 
The Blues got out to an early 2-0 lead and didn't look back. Third-year forward Elizabeth Assimes opened the scoring in the ninth minute of action, notching her second goal of the 2024 season.
 
Four minutes later, second-year standout Jayden Novak tallied her first of the season off a penalty corner.
 
Veteran forward Molly Koop added an insurance marker just before half to round out the scoring.
 
Fifth-year goalkeeper Deep Gill earned the shutout, while Toronto's back four were solid with set ups, interceptions and breaking out.
 
Next up for the Blues is a home-and-home with the Queen's Gaels. Toronto heads to Kingston, Ont., next Saturday, October 5 at 1 p.m., before playing host to the Gaels on Sunday, October 6 at Back Campus Fields at 2 p.m.
