BLUES MEN AND WOMEN FINISH SEVENTH AT NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues track and field teams concluded competition at the 2024 U SPORTS Track and Field Championships on Saturday (Mar. 9) in Winnipeg, Man.

Both the Toronto men and women finished seventh in the overall standings, respectively.

MEN'S RESULTS: The Blues sprints continued to deliver the top results on the final day of the national championship. Caiden Schultz, Moses Aidoo, Adam Exley, and Emmett Bravakis teamed up for a fifth-place finish in the men's 4x400m relay. The trio of Schultz, Exley, and Bravakis were also joined by Brandon Tang in the 4x200m relay, placing seventh overall in the 14-team field.

Rounding out the final day results, Blues jumper Linden Liles-McCurdy finished 10th in the triple jump with a best mark of 13.93m.

WOMEN'S RESULTS: Competing at her third U SPORTS championships, Blues high jump specialist Emma Dale topped the U of T women on Day 3 with a fifth-place finish in the event. Dale posted a best jump of 1.69m.

Meanwhile in the women's triple jump, the Blues featured two jumpers at the national championships in Jada Roach and Kristen Schulz. Roach posted a best mark of 11.56m to claim 10th overall, while Kristen Schulz placed 12th with a jump of 11.46m.

And to close out the U SPORTS championships with the relays, Michaela Wilson, Brooklyn McCormick, Sophie Myles, and Julia Boutin combined for a 10th place finish in the women's 4x400m to close out the national championship.
