BLUES WIN 10TH OUA CHAMPIONSHIP

The Varsity Blues badminton team took home their 10th OUA championship on Saturday, March 9 at the 2024 OUA championship at the Melati Mas Sports Complex in Pickering, Ont.
 
The Blues opened the day with a match against their Toronto rivals, the York Lions, and beat them 6-1 cementing a spot in the OUA final against the Waterloo Warriors.
 
After falling to Waterloo in pool play, Toronto took revenge beating the Warriors 6-2 in the OUA final. 
 
Toronto head coach Nicky Aung took home the coach of the year award, while Jackie Dent and Victor Huang were named rookies of the year. The trio of Jacqueline Cheung, Minh Pham, and Colin Jia were all recognized as OUA all-stars.
