BLUES END SEASON WITH QUARTER-FINAL LOSS AT BROCK

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's rugby team dropped a 76-12 decision to the Brock Badgers in OUA quarter-final action on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 12) in St. Catharines, Ont.
 
With the loss, the Blues 2024 campaign comes to a close. Toronto finished the regular season with a 3-3 record and made the post-season for the third consecutive year.
 
The Badgers got off to a hot start and built a 45-0 advantage at the half. The Blues got on the board in the 62nd minute and added their second try in the 71st minute. Second-year hooker Nicole Swekla and rookie centre Bailey Froese each scored tries for the Blues, while fourth-year scrum half Sadie Kabrhel kicked one convert on the day.
