Competing in the nation's capital, the University of Toronto Varsity Blues track and field team achieved several podium results at the uOttawa Winter Classic from Jan. 19-20.

Men's results:Â
Competing in the men's 600m event, third-year runner Nick Trieu picked up a bronze medal result posting a third-place time of 1:21.19.
Toronto's 4x200m relay teams then delivered two strong results as the group of Emmett Bravakis, Brandon Tang, Adam Exley, and Caiden Schultz finished first with a time of 1:28.98, while Trieu, Cameron Reyes, Logan Duley, and Ryker Sung were close behind in fourth with a time of 1:31.85.
Then in the 4x400m relay, the Blues earned another first place with the foursome of Exley, Schultz, Trieu, and Bravakis, finishing four seconds ahead of second place with a time of 3:18.50.

Rounding out the men's competitors, Blues dual-sport athlete Luka Stoikos placed third in the men's shot put with a toss of 11.25m.

Women's results:Â
Toronto earned a double podium in the women's 600m as Julia Boutin finished second overall with a time of 1:33.48, while Brooklyn McCormick placed third with a time of 1:35.24.
In the women's 4x200m relay, the foursome of Maya Ryan, Paulina Procyk, Megan Torrance, and Michaela Wilson posted a third place result with a time of 1:45.21.
Both Ryan and Procyk then teamed up with Boutin and McCormick to claim second in the women's 4x400m relay with a time of 3:55.35, finishing just two one-hundreths of a second behind the first place Gee-Gees.

Next up, the Blues will split their time between the John Thomas Terrier Classic in Boston, Massachusetts and the Riverhawk Invite in Lowell, Massachusetts with both events scheduled for Jan. 26-27.
