The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's rugby team fell 58-0 on the road versus the Western Mustangs on Saturday (Oct. 7) afternoon.

Concluding the regular season, the Blues finished with a 3-3 record placing them in a playoff position. 

In the Saturday showdown in London, U of T were in tough as the Mustangs were determined to put everything they had into the contest with playoff positioning on the line.

The Blues fought hard, putting defensive pressure on Western to try and slow down the home side, but Toronto struggled to find any offensive rhythm of their own to respond.

Next up for U of T will be an OUA quarter-final match which they will hit the road for next Saturday Oct. 14. An opponent and time is still to be confirmed.
