Hosting a combination of NCAA and OUA opponents for the annual U of T Fall Classic, the Varsity Blues men's water polo team went undefeated across four matches at the Athletic Centre this weekend.
Toronto opened the annual tournament with a pair of games against NCAA Division I opponents Michigan and Michigan State. In both matches the Blues offence was sensational surpassing 20 goals scored as the defeated the Wolverines 23-6 and the Spartans 24-9.Â
U of T would maintain their scoring prowess into two Sunday games versus Carleton and Queen's, outscoring the pair of OUA visitors 31-13. The Blues first defeated the Ravens 17-6 in a rematch of the 2022 OUA Championship final, before knocking off the Gaels 14-7 to complete the perfect weekend.
Toronto will next hit the road traveling to the West Coast for a quartet of California matches over the coming holiday weekend. The Blues will begin with a pair of games on Friday, Oct. 6 versus Biola University and Cuesta College in La Lirada, California, followed the next day by games against the University of Redlands and California Baptist University in Riverside, California.
