The University of Toronto Varsity Blues badminton team opened their 2023 season in dominant fashion, winning the McMaster Open on Saturday, January 28.
 
Jonathan Lai and Jonathan Chien won the men's doubles competition, while Chien also paired with Rebecca Lee to win the mixed doubles competition.
 
Lee and Joyclene Jaw also took the top spot in the women's doubles event.
