The Varsity Blues field hockey team wrapped up their three-game exhibition series in Vancouver against the UBC Thunderbirds on August 26.

After the two heavyweight programs split the first two matches, the T-Birds went on to win the rubber match 1-0.

The result marked the third straight contest in which the Blues and Thunderbirds played to a 1-0 final, with UBC winning game one and Toronto taking game two.

The Varsity Blues will now return to U of T and switch their focus to their home invitational, taking place from September 9-11.

Toronto will begin its OUA title defence on September 18 when they start the 2022 OUA regular season at Queen's. The Blues home opener will take place on September 18, also against the Gaels.
