The Varsity Blues field hockey team evened their three-game exhibition series in Vancouver on August 24, downing the British Columbia Thunderbirds 1-0.

Just one day after falling to the T-Birds 1-0, the Blues were able to flip the script on Wednesday night, using a third quarter goal from Mia Zurkovic to propel themselves to victory.

Following the match, the two teams then held a shoot-out, in which the Varsity Blues also won getting goals from Sam McCrory, McKinley Kennedy, Ziara Scaringi as well as Zurkovic.

The Blues and Thunderbirds will wrap up their exhibition series on August 26.

Toronto will then return home for their invitational tournament from September 9-11. The Blues will open the home portion of their OUA schedule on September 18 against Queen's.
