Box Score In another strong offensive effort, the No. 1 University of Toronto Varsity Blues field hockey team defeated the Western Mustangs 5-0 at Back Campus Fields on Saturday, October 22.

With the win, the Blues secure their place in the OUA Championship for the third-straight season.

HOW IT HAPPENED: An all Toronto first quarter saw the Blues open the scoring in the 11^th minute of play by way of third-year commerce major, Mia Zurkovich. Third-year forward Sam McCrory doubled the Blues lead just a minute later, extending the Blues lead to two.

The Blues offensive pressure continued through the second quarter, with McCrory recording her second goal of the game in the 21^st minute.

The third quarter saw more of the same as Zurkovich extended the Blues lead to four in the 42^nd minute.

McCrory would seal the eventual game winner in the 58^th minute, making the most of an assist from Emily Ziraldo.

Third-year goalie Deepi Gill earned the win in net for the Blues.
