The host Toronto Varsity Blues, Waterloo Warriors, McMaster Marauders and Western Mustangs remain undefeated through Day 1 of the 2020 OUA Badminton Championship (Feb. 28).

FULL RESULTS

The four-time reigning OUA champion Varsity Blues recorded 10-0 victories over the Queen's Gaels and Ryerson Rams, while Waterloo blanked the York Lions, Carleton Ravens and Ottawa Gee-Gees. As the top seeds in Groups A and B, respectively, the Blues and Warriors earn a bye into tomorrow evening's semifinal round.

The battle for the top spot in Group C concludes tomorrow morning, as Western and McMaster, both 2-0 through Day 1, will wrap up pool play at 9 a.m. The winner will face Ryerson, who finished second in Group A, while the loser will take on Group B's second seed, Ottawa, in quarter-final action at 1 p.m.
