GAMES OF THE WEEK: SOCCER HOSTS GAELS IN OLD FOUR BATTLE

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's and women's soccer teams host the Queen's Gaels this Sunday, September 8 in our Under Armour Games of the Week.

The women start the action at 1 p.m., with the men to follow at 3:15 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. Both games will also be streamed live on OUA.tv.

Toronto's men are 2-0 to start the season and sit in a three-way tie with Carleton and Ryerson for the top spot in the OUA East division. The Blues defeated the RMC Paladins 5-1, before edging the Gaels 3-2 on Sunday afternoon.

A trio of Blues each scored a pair of goals over the weekend. Veteran defender Koosha Nazemi, third-year midfielder Nicholas Osorio and rookie striker Matthew Roberts each potted two goals in the two victories.

The Blues women are 1-1 after their season-opening weekend in Kingston, Ont. U of T blanked the Paladins 3-0 on Saturday, before dropping a narrow 1-0 decision to the Gaels on Sunday.

Fifth-year striker and Queen's Gaels transfer Jenny Wolever led the Blues offensively with two goals versus RMC, while fellow transfer, Miranda Badovinac, tallied Toronto's second goal versus RMC.
