Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues field hockey team played to a 2-2 draw with the Guelph Gryphons on Saturday, September 21 in London, Ont.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: Despite controlling the play for the majority of the first quarter, the Gryphons opened the scoring to get out to an early lead. Rookie standout Madeline Sherwood evened the score as the two teams were deadlocked at 1-1 at halftime.
 
Blues veteran Rachel Spouge put the Blues up 2-1 heading into the fourth quarter, but the Gryphons found the equalizer as the game ended in the draw.
 
UP NEXT: The Blues are right back in action tomorrow (Sept. 22) as they head to York University to take on the Lions (9 a.m.) and McGill Martlets (2:15 p.m.)
