Â
The second half saw no quit in either the Blues or Gaels, with the Blues winning the half 5-1.

Â
The second game of the weekend saw the Blues up against a competitive Carleton Ravens squad, who were coming into the matchup looking to contend for the No. 1 ranking in the OUA standings.Â
Â
The Blues started off a little slower, surrendering the first goal of the game. Although, the Blues rallied to finish the first quarter strong with three goals of their own to go up 3-1. The second quarter saw a tough battle as both teams came out of the quarter with two goals apiece, putting the Blues ahead 5-3 at halftime.
Â
The second half saw a dominant performance by the Blues as they outscored Carleton by a score of 6-1, making the final score 11-4.

The Blues and Ravens met again in the third game of the weekend on Sunday.
Â
U of T started off stronger in this matchup with the first two goals of the game and a 3-1 lead after one quarter of action. The second quarter saw much of the same dominant play by the Varsity Blues as they outscored Carleton 3-1 and saw themselves up 6-2 at half.
Â
The third quarter saw a lot of defence as both teams struggled to score with only one goal apiece. The final quarter of action had a late push by Carleton to try and steal a game away from the Blues. However, Toronto was able to hold on for a close victory, 8-6.Â
Â
Gonzalez and Conn led the Blues with two goals each, while Marucina, Giannatsis, Geiger and Mitic added a goal each.
Â
The final game of the weekend saw U of T battle the Western Mustangs. The first quarter saw an early start as the Blues were able to score in the first minute of action and put the pressure on, coming out with a 4-1 lead. The second quarter saw great defence by the Blues as Western was unable to score and Toronto added three more to take a 7-1 lead into halftime.
Â
Great defence along with stellar offence proved to be too much for Western as the Varsity Blues won the half 7-2, finished the tournament 4-0, and won the game 14-3 win.
Â
Conn netted five goals and Gonzalez added four in the win. Standout Joe Rosensitto of Newport Beach, Cal., added two. Giannatsis and Marucina, along with Young all had one goal in the victory.
