The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's squash team participated in the first crossover of the Jester's League last weekend (November 2-3) at Queen's University.
On Saturday, the Blues finished in fine style by defeating both the University of Ottawa and Laurier Golden Hawks 7-0.
The Blues faced a greater challenge against five-time reigning OUA champions Queen's Gaels, losing 7-0. Later on Sunday, they also faced a challenge against the Waterloo Warriors but came out victorious, 4-3.
The match of the day for the Blues was when No. 5 seed Christine Yaromich defeated Isabelle Lavallee-Gordon of the Waterloo Warriors in a nail-biting five-setter match.
The final tournament for the fall semester is sectional #2 of the Jester's League, which will be held at McMaster University on November 24.
