BLUES WIN CANADIAN UNIVERSITY CHAMPIONSHIP

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues badminton team finished first overall at the 2018 Yonex Canadian College-University Championship, March 9-11, in Quebec City.
 
Toronto went 3-0 in pool play, defeating the UQAM Citadins 5-0, Montreal Carabins 4-1 and Western Mustangs 3-1 to set up a championship final versus the Laval Rouge et Or.
 
There, Giselle Chan and Kristy Chan picked up a crucial point in women's doubles action, while Varsity Blues star Bethany So won the women's single match. Marcus Waskiw-Ford then sealed the 3-2 team victory, winning his men's singles match 21-17, 21-14.
