ZIRALDO'S LATE GOAL ENDS REGULAR SEASON WITH A WIN

Hilary Ziraldo scored in the final minute to lift the University of Toronto Varsity Blues field hockey team 2-1 over Guelph Gryphons on Sunday (Oct. 21) at Back Campus Fields.

HOW IT HAPPENED: Sophomore Anna Costanzo opened the scoring with twelve minutes left in the first half.

Toronto's 1-0 lead would hold until the final five minutes of the game when Guelph's Mackenzie Janzen scored the equalizer.

In the final minute, third-year Hilary Ziraldo broke the tie and Toronto ended the regular season with a win, amassing an impressive 10-1-1 (W-L-T) record good for a second place standing in the OUA.

UP NEXT: The Blues head to Waterloo for the OUA Championship tournament from Oct. 26-28.
