STAKIC SCORES TWO, BLUES SHUT OUT PALADINS

Box Score The No. 6 nationally ranked University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer team kept their undefeated streak alive with a dominant 4-0 win over the RMC Paladins on Saturday, September 30 in Kingston, Ont.
 
Second-year defender Nikola Stakic scored two goals in the victory. The Toronto native opened the scoring in the 34th minute, netting the eventual game-winner. Veteran defender Kenny Lioutas gave the Blues a two-goal cushion in the 42nd minute as the Blues led 2-0 at the half.
 
Stakic notched his second of the game off a penalty kick in the 70th minute, while Jack Wadden netted his team-leading fifth goal in the 90th minute to round out the scoring.
 
Third-year goalkeeper Stefan Dusciuc made one save in the clean sheet victory.
 
The Blues wrap up their Kingston road trip versus the Queen's Gaels tomorrow at 3:15 p.m.
