Box Score The No. 3 University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer team extended their undefeated streak to open the season to eight games tying the Carleton Ravens 1-1 on Sunday (Sept. 17) at Varsity Stadium.
The tie puts the Blues at 6-0-2 on the season placing them in second place in the OUA East division. Carleton's record goes to 4-1-3 holding onto third in the East.
Carleton opened the scoring with a goal from Gabriel Bitar just seven minutes into the game.
Although dominating in possession and having nine shots on net, U of T were unable to get on the scoreboard going into halftime.
Toronto's efforts would pay off with a beautiful header goal by fifth-year striker Nirun Sivananthan at the 50 minute mark to tie the game.

Varsity Blues goalie Mark Rogal posted two saves in the tie, including a spectacular diving effort in the final seconds of the match. Ravens keeper Nick Jeffs made six saves on the afternoon.
The Varsity Blues are back in action Saturday, September 23rd hosting the No. 7 Ryerson Rams at Varsity Stadium. Game time is set for 3:15 p.m with all the action streaming live on OUA.tv.
