The No. 10 nationally ranked University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer team hosts the Ryerson Rams in OUA quarter-final action this Sunday, October 29 at Varsity Stadium.
 
The match is free and open to the public, with kickoff scheduled for 3:15 p.m., and will also be streamed live on OUA.tv.
 
The Varsity Blues earned a first-round bye after finishing in second place in the OUA East division with an impressive 10-2-4 record. The Ryerson Rams finished third in the East (9-6-1) and solidified their quarter-final spot with a 1-0 playoff victory over the Queen's Gaels on Wednesday night.
 
The winner of Sunday's tilt will advance to the OUA Final Four, set to be hosted by the highest remaining seed in the West, next weekend (Nov. 3-5).
 
Toronto went 0-1-1 versus Ryerson during the regular season, playing to a 1-1 draw on Sept. 23, before dropping a close 4-3 decision on Oct. 7.
 
The two teams are familiar foes in the postseason of late. Over the past six seasons, Toronto has gone 4-1 against Ryerson in the playoffs, with three matches needing extra time, and two going to penalty kicks to determine a winner.
 
Third-year Varsity Blues striker Jack Wadden has enjoyed a breakout season, leading the team and ranking fifth in the OUA with 11 goals. The Blues do boast a balanced attack however, with eight other players scoring two or more goals.
 
Veteran forward Nick Lambis led the Rams with nine goals in the regular season, while sophomore Abdallah El-Chanti tallied seven in 14 games.
