The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's squash team tied for the top spot this past weekend (Jan. 21-22) at the second OUA Jesters Sectional held in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont with a 4-1 record.
After opening the two-day competition with a close 4-3 loss to the Brock Badgers, U of T responded well with four straight victories defeating Ottawa 5-2, McGill 4-3, Queen's 6-1, and Glendon College 7-0.
Second-year Leicester, England native David Roper led the way for the Blues going undefeated in his four matchups including victories over tough competition in Brock, McGill and Queen's.
Next on the schedule for U of T is the OUA championships held February 24-26 in Waterloo, Ont.
