AJHERT SCORES TWO, BLUES DOWN GAELS

Box Score Fourth-year striker Anontio Ajhert scored two goals in leading the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer team to a 4-0 victory over the Queen's Gaels on Sunday afternoon (Sept. 25) in Kingston, Ont.
 
With the win, the Blues are now 6-1-2 and in third place in the OUA East division, while the Gaels drop to 4-3-1 and sit fourth.
 
Team co-captain Lukas MacNaughton opened the scoring in the 37th minute, notching his fourth goal of the season.
 
Ajhert registered his first goal of the game just two minutes later and fellow veteran striker Nikolay Saveliev padded Toronto's lead in the 42nd minute to give the Blues a 3-0 advantage at the half.
 
Ajhert notched his second of match in the 55th minute to round out the scoring for the Blues.
 
Blues goalkeeper Mark Rogal posted five saves in the clean sheet win.
 
The Varsity Blues are back in action this Saturday, October 1 as they travel to Peterborough, Ont., to take on the Trent Excalibur. Game time is set for 3:15 p.m.
