The Unviersity of Toronto Varsity Blues women's rugby team dropped a close 21-8 contest with the Waterloo Warriors Saturday (Sept. 24) afternoon in Waterloo.

Third-year veteran Julia Cicconi scored the lone try of the day for the Blues with fourth-year Sonia Ralston adding a penalty goal.

Danielle Duncan scored two tries for the Warriors with Jessica Delaney scoring one and Eleta Mitton making all three conversions.

The Varsity Blues will now have a week to prepare for the York Lions who they will challenge next Friday, Septmeber 30 at York. Kickoff is shceduled for 7 p.m.
