Opening their 2016 OUA campaign against the defending OUA and CIS champion McMaster Marauders, the University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's rugby team battled hard throughout a tough 81-0 loss in Hamilton last night (Sept. 9).

Marauders winger Saffara Whitely Hoffelner finished as the top scorer in the contest recording four tries on the night.

The Varsity Blues will look to rebound against another tough opponent in the Queen's Gaels next week (Sept. 16) in their home opener at Varsity Stadium. Kick off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
