BLUES IMPROVE TO 16-0 WITH STRAIGHT-SET WIN OVER THUNDERWOLVES

Box Score Fourth-year left side hitter Caleigh Cruickshank notched 11 points in leading the No. 3 nationally ranked University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-8) victory over the Lakehead Thunderwolves on Sunday afternoon (Feb. 7) at the Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport.

With the win, the Blues maintain their perfect record, notching their 16th straight victory.

Cruickshank notched seven kills, four aces and eight digs on the day. Second-year left side hitter Anna Feore had seven kills, one ace and one block, while third-year middle Tessa Davis recorded three kills, three aces and one block.

Rookie right side Alina Dormann tallied five kills, one ace, one block and seven digs, with setters Erin Jacobs and Madelyn Mandryk splitting duties with 11 and 21 assists, respectively.

Lakehead was led by Kailan Robinson's game-high 10 kills and seven digs in the loss.

The Varsity Blues are back in action next Friday, February 13 as they head to Hamilton to take on the McMaster Marauders.
