TORONTO VS OTTAWA QUARTER-FINAL PREVIEW

The No. 2 nationally ranked University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball team hosts the Ottawa Gee-Gees in OUA quarter-final action this Saturday, February 27 at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport.

Opening serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. Advance tickets are on sale here. The game will also be streamed live on OUA.tv.

Should the Blues be victorious, the University of Toronto would advance to, and host, the OUA Final Four next weekend (March 4-5). Toronto would be vying for their second straight provincial championship banner and the OUA's lone berth to the 2016 CIS championship, March 11-13, hosted by Brandon University.

A Head-to-Head Look

The Varsity Blues are coming off their first perfect regular season since completing the feat back-to-back from 1995-97. Toronto notched a perfect 19-0 record, dropping a program-low three sets, all season.

The Ottawa Gee-Gees finished the regular season with an 11-8 record, in fourth place in the East.

The Blues defeated the Gee-Gees 3-0 (21-12, 25-14, 25-16) on Nov. 15 at home and 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-21) on Feb. 6 in Ottawa. The two teams have met 12 times in the post season, dating back to 1983, with Toronto holding an 8-4 record over Ottawa.
