BLUES FALL TO NO. 5 LANCERS

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's basketball team dropped a 70-42 decision to the No. 5 nationally ranked Windsor Lancers on Wednesday, November 30 at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport.
 
With the loss, the Blues drop to 3-4 and remain in third place in the OUA East division, while the Lancers improve to 7-0 and sit atop the West.
 
Fifth-year Blues forward Alanna Garner tallied a team-high 12 points, while adding three rebounds on the night. Fourth-year guard Diedre Edwards notched six points, five boards and one assists, while fellow fourth-year veteran Rahshida Atkinson had six points, four rebounds and three blocks.
 
Sophomore guard Yanique Smith had five points and four boards in the loss.
 
Fourth-year Lancers forward Emily Prevost led all players with 16 points, six boards, six blocks and five steals, while third-year guard Carly Steer had 11 points in the victory.
     
The Varsity Blues wrap up the fall semester hosting the Western Mustangs this Saturday, December 3 at Goldring Centre. Tip off is set for 2 p.m. Advance tickets are on sale here.
