BLUES SUFFER FROM SECOND HALF STRUGGLES

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's basketball team dropped a 67-49 decision to the Brock Badgers on Friday, November 12 in St. Catharines, Ont.
 
Second-year guard Keyira Parkes led the Blues with 10 points, three rebounds and two steals, while fifth-year veteran Alanna Garner notched seven points and led the Blues with a career-high 14 boards on the night.
 
Fourth-year guard Rahshida Atkinson tallied eight points and three steals, while sophomore Sarah Bennett added seven points and nine boards in the loss.
 
Tied 25-25 at halftime, Brock sealed the victory with a 22-12 third quarter, putting the game out of reach for the Blues.
 
A trio of Badgers hit double digits with Kria Cornelissen leading the way with a double-double of 12 points and 16 boards in the victory.
 
The Varsity Blues return to action next Friday, November 18 as they host the Laurentian Voyageurs at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport. Tip off is set for 6 p.m. Advance tickets are on sale here. The game will also be streamed live on OUA.tv.
