Attending the first OUA Jester's East sectional competition hosted by McGill University this past weekend (Oct. 22-23), the University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's squash team amassed a 2-1 record despite being shorthanded all weekend long.

Only having five rostered athletes available to them for the entirety of the weekend competition the Blues found themselves battling from behind in every contest having to concede two matches in every competition.

Despite the shortcoming, U of T was able to complete clean sweeps of the Brock Badgers and host McGill Martlets to earn 5-2 match victories.

Toronto's only loss came at the hands of the 2015-16 OUA champion Queen's Gaels falling 7-0 to the defending champions.

The Varsity Blues will next compete at the OUA Jester's crossover event hosted by the aformentioned Queen's Gaels next month. Competition begins Saturday, November 19.
