BLUES BLANK GAELS IN K-TOWN

Box Score The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer team notched their first win of 2015 with a 3-0 victory over the Queen's Gaels on Saturday, September 5 in Kingston, Ont.

Third-year striker Nirun Sivananthan of Brampton, Ont., notched the eventual game-winner in the 10th minute of the match.

Dakar Charles padded Toronto's lead in the 25th minute and the Blues carried a 2-0 lead into the half.

Third-year midfielder Nikolay Saveliev added an insurance marker in the 90th minute to seal the shut out victory.

Blues goalkeeper Rab Bruce-Lockhart made two saves in the win.

The Varsity Blues return to action tomorrow afternoon as they take on the RMC Paladins in Kingston. Game time is set for 3:15 p.m.
