Box ScoreThe University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's basketball team dropped a 91-75 decision to the StFX X-Men on Thursday, October 8 at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport.
With StFX leading 62-60 after three quarters, the visitors from the AUS exploded to outscore U of T 29-15 in the fourth quarter to earn the victory.
Second-year forward Miroslav Jaksic led Toronto with 16 points, six boards and three blocks, while Daniel Johansson had 12 points and a team-high seven rebounds. Chase Ruttenberg also had 12 points and five boards, with Sage Usher adding 11 points in the loss.
StFX was led by Kevin Bercy, who totalled 16 points and eight boards, while Cameron Walker also had 16 points on the night. Both Julius Antoine and Tristen Ross notched 13 points in the victory.
The Varsity Blues continue their pre-season schedule next weekend, October 16-18, as they head to Carleton University for the House Laughton Tournament.
